Would be nice with a little spandex
These are great, especially on sale. I have short legs but these are perfect; I look slim in them! I would pair them with a neutral tunic type top or a print in the same color, or a jacket. Because they are 100% cotton, I'm afraid they will shrink so I will hand wash and hang dry. Pretty for work or play, though, and they do fit nicely.

Perfect polka dots!
I tried these on because I liked how they were paired with the polka dot jacket the Limited has out right now. I have a love/hate relationship with ankle pants because they don't always work on my short self. I have to admit, these aren't a 100% winner for me, mainly because they hit a little longer than ankle on me. My standard size 4 fit great though with a slightly relaxed fit through the thigh and rest of the leg. This looked adorable with the polka dot jacket and the button front top in navy and I think if I do some digging, I'll be able to pair this with other things in my closet.
