Redeeming Paper Gift Certificates & Merchandise Credits
We still have plenty of old-school paper Gift Certificates and Merchandise Credit Certificates floating around out there, so if you have one of these relics, please follow the redemption instructions below. Our Gift Certificates and Merchandise Credit Certificates are paper and therefore not electronically traceable. If you have a plastic Gift Card or a Virtual Gift Card, please see our Gift Card Redemption Instructions instead.
For all online redemptions, original Gift Certificates and Merchandise Credit Certificates must be mailed to the address listed below. Since they are not electronically traceable, we recommend that all paper certificates are mailed via a traceable carrier, as The Limited cannot replace lost or stolen Gift Certificates/Merchandise Credits.
- Place your order by calling our Customer Service Center toll free at 1-877-LTD-1963 (1-877-583-1963). Use a major credit card to secure the inventory for your order.
- After you have placed your order, write your order number on the original Gift Certificate or Merchandise Credit and mail the certificate to the address below:

- Once your original Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit is received, your credit card will be reimbursed for the amount of the Gift Certificate/Merchandise Credit.
To redeem your paper Gift Certificate or Merchandise Credit at any The Limited store location, the paper certificate must be present at the time of purchase.
Present your Gift Certificate to the cashier at the time of purchase. If there is a remaining balance, you will be given a new plastic Gift Card for the remaining value.
Redeeming on International Orders
Paper Gift Certificates or Merchandise Credits are not redeemable on international orders.
