This is a great basic skirt. I bought it in the black, and it is appropriate for a professional environment as expected but could even be worn out after with a change of top and/or shoes. I ordered this in a size 0. To give you an idea of the fit, I am 5'1", 114 pounds, and 38-27-36. I find it VERY rare for a piece of clothing to be "true to size." It seems to me that almost every brand pushes vanity sizing and I have to size down. It is very refreshing that The Limited calls a 36-inch hip a 0 and THEIR 0 FITS A 36-INCH HIP. That happens to me so rarely that I was hesitant to order because I assumed that if their smallest was said to be my size that that would mean it would be too big! (One of my favorite stores defines me as a size 2 according to their size chart but anything beyond a 00 there is baggy. Yes, it's nice to "find out" you're smaller than you are--even though it's not true--but it makes shopping pretty frustrating.) Another major plus is that the length is not a problem on me even though I'm petite with a 28-inch inseam. It hits more at the knee than above but with the slim silhouette it still looks good. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong having at least one all weather, less casual skirt in your closet. I do recommend this one.  5

The length is great and the color is unique, a neutral, but I swear in some lights it appears tan and in other lights, i see a gray undertone. Regardless, it is a nice skirt for work. I am hoping the jacket is still available! 4

Overall Rating Great for spring
I ordered this skirt and the jacket in a size 8 (which is what I usually wear). It was a little snug so I exchanged it for a size 10 at the local store. The store associates were great and very helpful (when I arrived they had a screaming sale going on...so I just had to...). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the skirt was short on me; the associate explained they hemmed pants, but not skirts (hint). If I stood up all day the length would be fine, but once you sit down in a pencil skirt, you need to have some length to accommodate the "shift" for coverage. I'm looking forward to mix/match with other pieces I have to bring in the lighter colors for spring! 4
