Cute & Comfortable This dress is really comfortable and although it's thinner than most sweater dresses, I find it more flattering because it's not so bulky. Great length for work too. I got a ton of compliments the first time I wore it. You definitely need a belt to go with it though. January 11, 2011
Love it with the obi belt I wore this to a holiday party paired with the obi belt, rondell earrings, tights, and tall black boots. I had so many people compliment me on it! It is one of those looks that really isn't that hard to put together but looks so polished. This dress is very soft and I was extremely comfortable wearing it. If your are thinking of trying out a sweater dress, I would highly suggest this one! January 8, 2011
Compliments galore Loved the style and fit. Wore it to work and received many compliments. January 4, 2011
love this for the holidays I bought the dress in dark purple. A belt definitely pulls it all together. I recommend wearing a slip underneath, because it is a bit thin. I don't like when light shines through a dress. Overall, I am really pleased with this purchase! December 30, 2010
Size up... I normally wear a L in sweaters at The Limited, but this dress seemed a little too snug and showed off any imperfections/underwear lines. The XL fits better - I have a large chest, so on me the seam hits more like an empire waist. A nice dress for winter and holidays, but I would not recommend paying full price as it does not look like the material will hold up for more than one season! December 13, 2010
Like but not in love I bought this dress- black color- in store and I keep contemplating if I should return it. I have tried it on twice at home and the material is super thin, you can actually see through parts of the dress- mainly the skirt/bottom part. There is a seam below the chest that you cannot see in the picture b/c the model is wearing a belt. The dress def looks better with a belt, b.c for some reason the seam does not go to the back part of the dress. I tried on a thicker black belt which looks better than the skinny belt. Just my opinion though! Overall, it is a cute dress...just super thin material. December 6, 2010
Not something I expect... Rarely am I disappointed with a Limited product that I have bought. This will be one of them. I tried on the red sweaterdress in the store, but chose to buy the purple one from online. First, the purple is closer to a plum than a purple. The image makes you think it'll be more violet in hue than it actually is. Second, this is one of the flimsiest sweaterdresses I've seen this season from The Limited. The crochet details are lovely. The dress itself has no shape, so you really need a belt or sash to define the waistline. I'm a curvy size 8. The awkward line that's supposed to be an empire waist barely sits right, especially when I'm wearing a lightly padded bra. The dress is workable over tights, but when I tried it over leggings, it just made my hips look even bigger. The "cowl" neck portion of the dress sits more like an infinity scarf on me. When all is said and done, this could have been a sweaterdress made of thicker, softer stuff. On the up side, this dress will probably still be wearable in the early fall or early spring because it's so thin and requires layers to stay warm... December 5, 2010
Cute dress, but not for the very curvy I bought this dress over the Thanksgiving shopping frenzy weekend and ended up returning it. I am normally a size 10/12 in LTD dresses (and pants), so I usually fit Medium when the dresses aren't sized (I can get away with it esp. when the dress is flair b/c of my smaller waist). I tried this dress on in med and didn't care too much for it, esp from behind but thought that if I went up a size, it would be okay. I had to go to another store in order to ge the large and didn't try it on at the store (bad idea). When I got home, I found that the large fit EXACTLY like the med (and I'm much smaller on top than on bottom). So, the dress went back to the store. Not only was the sizing weird, this dress is rather thin and see through to be a sweater dress. I love the design of this dress, but am sorely disappointed in it. I wanted to love it, but the fit just was not right for me. It really is meant for small framed women. Such a bummer :( December 2, 2010
